A cold front brings cooler weather

This morning in northern Alabama we started out at around 68 degrees with clouds. This may not seem impressive, but considering that we normally start out in the low to mid 70’s, this is pretty significant. In fact we had a cold front pass through the area overnight, bringing cooler temperatures behind it. Not only is it bringing cooler temperatures today, it is also bringing unseasonably cool dry air to the area for much of this week. Looking over the models, it looks like we could see daytime highs for the next few days in the low 80’s, and dew point temperatures in the 50’s. Just to give you an idea of what that feels like, it is like going from sticky air, to dryer more comfortable air. This cool down, like many things won’t last for long, so make sure to get out and enjoy the nice weather before we soon return back to the 90’s.
